POCAHONTAS!!! :la: :la: :la:
I'm in Pocahontas overload right now.. :stupidme:

I watched Pocahontas yesterday because I was bored, but then I fell in love all over again with the movie! :D
Yes, it was definitely one of my favorite Disney movie next to Tangled and Beauty and the Beast!

In fact, when I was little, Pocahontas was my favorite Disney character. I used to dress up as her and run around the house pretending to be her...

This was one of my many favorite scenes, when Pocahontas went.. "If you kill him, you'll have to kill me too!!"... "I love him, father..." Eeeeepp!!!! :iconheeplz:

Too bad they didn't end up together, and Pocahontas ended up with John Rolfe (I don't know how to spell this.. ) in the second movie.. Why!!??
So everybody.. Let's just pretend the second movie never existed, and in the end after John Smith was healed, he went back to Virginia and married Pocahontas! Yay!!
That is all..

More Disney art works to come!!
Bye!

EDIT :
I can't believe I got a Daily Deviation!
I want to say thank you especially to `DoItForTheLulz for suggesting it, and ^StormPenguin for featuring it.

Also, I fixed the drawing a bit, because I've noticed a lot of deviants commented that John's face looks like he's smirking or something, so I changed it a bit. I also fixed Pocahotas' face and hand a little. I hope it's better now.. :D

I love him, father by ~Yori-Narpati

Really strong and emotional, such a powerful piece! It speaks so loudly and it makes you wonder what will happen. ( Suggested by `PainInTheAssimilated and Featured by `WildCharmander )

the wind in Pocahontas is actually the spirit of Her mother, and she basically told her dad; stop being stupid and put the mace down! >3<, and sorta when it blows around him in colors of the wind, it feels like shes saying 'I approve', well that's what I think anyways.

So she would risk her life for him, only to forget about him in the second version. Some love. You know what Pocohontas, you made me question loves affinity, its power...you made me question everything the other disney movies have taught me about love. Then, I came to realise that instead of questioning love, I should be questioning you. You are the one that did this, to John Smith, to your father, to your people, to your fans, to disneys repuation, to...ME! So, I am also just going to pretend this little "incident" never happened, and that you ended up marrying John Smith in the woods. The End. No Rolfe, no cheating, no nothing. I DEMAND YOU MARRY JOHN SMITH! And you shall...

actually historians now believe her and her actions were part of an welcoming ceremony for new tribes. as a way of the chief saying I have the power to end your life but I welcome you. Secondly she was kidnapped by the English and was forced to assimilate. She never had any affection for John Smith, however she did marry Thomas Rolf after which she was paraded as "proof" that Native Americans could change their "savage ways"

Look, I see your point loud and clear and from someone who is studying history, you can imagine how much I love it! But, if Disney was going to base their movie on history they never would have made her fall in love with him (John Smith) so passionately, and if it was based on history and accurate historical facts, they never would have made Grandmother Willow and all those characters. So ok, while history may have another version of the story it was cheap of them to just make her forget the love of her life John Smith that she would DIE for (you must remember), and go to some John Rolfe in the second movie...why make the first one in the first place? Why didn't they automatically make John Rolfe in the first movie and be done with it? And if we were to go into historical facts, John Smith is actually what...3 times Pocahontas' age, so there is really no arguement here except that the second movie was a waste of breath and never should have happened.
