Hi guys, I present you my latest obsession, Peter and Wendy.
I just can't not ship this ship. They're too darn adorable. If you guys are wondering ,the characters are based off the 2003 live-action version of Peter Pan, which I had just watched a couple of days ago with my sister. I blame her for introducing me to this couple.
Peter Pan has always been one of my favorite fairy tales, especially the Disney version of it. Every time I watch it, I get all teary. It just reminds me of my childhood so much. Especially when hearing this song >[link].
But now I just adore the live-action version because of the chemistry between Peter and Wendy is so evident there. No need to mention how cute Jeremy Sumpter was. Another thing I love about the 2003 version is how complicated Peter's character is, even though he acted like a kid, without realizing he was growing up as well by falling in love with Wendy, and he denies this because he doesn't want to grow up. And in the end, even though it's painful, he decided to stay as a boy, even if that means parting with his love, Wendy.
Onto the drawing itself, it's based off =ArandaDill's drawing, Goodnight. I chose this as reference for the positioning, because I thought it was suitable. I didn't expect this drawing to take me 3 hours, it started as a very rough sketch, and I was about to leave it at that, but then I changed my mind, and decided to color it. Oh, and while I was drawing this, I was listening to the absolutely wonderful soundtrack for the movie Fairy Dance > [link]
I hope you guys will like it. Comments are very much appreciated! Expect more Pendy fan art from me! ________________________________________
You should watch Hook now, with Robin Williams and btw the colors in this are wonderful; I like the watercolor look. And both of them are just adorable lol
I so agree in shipping the both of them. I am always in tears whenever I remember that they can't be together. Anyway, You made a great job depicting it on your fanart.
